This year we celebrated Onam on 5th September 2010 at Sunshine Park. All the Malayalees in St.John's participated in the celebration.
Celeberations started with "Atha Pookalam". The rich cultural heritage of Kerala came out in its best form and spirit with "Onappattu" and "Onakkali".
Kutty uncle's Columbian daughter-in law and a friend from Novascotia also joined the celebrations with all of us.
Highpoint of the day was the enormous Onasadya with the traditional style. We never felt that we are 8000 miles away from Kerala by enjoying the "Sadya" in typical banana leaf.
Number of sports and games events were also organised on the day like volley ball, foot ball, Vadam vali, Cards etc. to add spice to the celebration.

Christmas Party 2010
This years Christmas celebration was at Rajan Uncle’s residence on 28th December 2010.
Everybody was dressed up to match the ambience. We tasted some typical Kerala style food like Malabar Porotta and Ada Pradhaman. The food was delicious.
We are very thankful to Mr. Joy and his family who came from Calgary to join the celebration.
